GREEN INITIATIVE BY SCHOOL
MY BIRTHDAY – MY PLANT
As reported by - Mrs. Subhra Bhattacharjee, Mrs. Sikha Biswas
Green Initiative by SERMHSS(EM)-SRC
Walk into the premises of our school and you will find some students working towards multiple plants, each one of them dedicatedly watering the plants. This is a unique idea to develop personal caring towards environment at a very early stage among the school students.
Under this noble initiative, every student at our school brings a plant on his/her birthday and plant it inside the school green box area. Hence forth, the respective students are responsible to take care of their plant like watering regularly, turning the soil, giving natural fertilizers and so on.
This will develop a tremendous personal attachment of each child towards the plant. As a result, they become more conscious and responsible towards the environment. It has also developed a kind of ‘love’ towards the plants among the students, and they are seen keenly observing the growth of ‘their’ plants and taking proper due care without even a reminder.
Better said 'Done it'.
GREEN SCHOOL PROJECT

As reported by - Mrs Sardamoni Mukharjee, Mrs. Golap Rani Chatterjee
Reduce and reuse.. Students are advised to bring steel glass instead of single use water bottle or bring Milton cool water bottle.
They were advised to a steel glass in their bags to reduce the use of plastics. The response of all the students was very positive as they realised that a small change in their day-to-day schedule would bring drastic change in the environment.
